The Finnish Tramway Society

I came across this treasure trove when I did an image search for trams in Finnish. The Finnish Tramway Society web site is one of the most thorough I’ve ever seen. It lists the year, make, manufacturer, and specifications of every model of tram ever used in Helsinki, plus information about tram lines in other Finnish towns. It’s also stuffed with dozens of photos of Finnish trams and electric buses from every decade since the turn of the century.

The site puts me in mind of sporalogy, a psuedoscience spoof of astrology that claims to be able to predict a person’s character based on where the Helsinki trams were at the moment that person was born.
